Building & Plumbing

Building permits are required for all new construction - houses, garages, carports, & decks, for renovations, alterations or additions to an existing building, for basement development, relocation or demolition of a building, temporary structures, and swimming pools and hot tubs more than 600 mm in depth.

Permits are not needed for fences, driveways, sidewalks, general maintenance, replacement not affecting structural, electrical or mechanical systems, or accessory buildings not greater than 10m2.

Permits are approved and inspections performed by Wagner Inspection Services.
