Election Information

Municipal elections are held every 4 years.  Candidates for elections must be 18 years of age and residents of the Town.

In 2020, a Bylaw was passed, with required Public Notice, to reduce Duck Lake Council to 5 seats. Council consists of Mayor and 4 Councillors.

Election canaditates must submit a criminal record check with nomination forms.

A call for nominations for a by-election for 1 Council seat was posted, February 26, 2026.  Nomination papers are available at the Town office and are to be submitted by Wednesday, March 19.  The election is set for Wednesday, April 23, 2026.
