Sewage is discharged into lagoons, from which it is pumped for irrigation purposes.
Rates: $15.00/month, $5.00/month infrastructure fee
Streets
The Town of Duck Lake has approximately 75% of the streets and municipal roads paved.
Waste management
Residential garbage pick-up is done weekly - Thursdays
The town landfill is located approx. 8 km north of Duck Lake with regular hours of operation Thursdays & Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m in summer and 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in winter.. Use of the landfill outside of these hours requires that arrangements be made at the Town Office (467-2277).
Fees: $20.00/1/2 ton, $30.00/ 1 ton, $60.00/ 3 ton.
Landfill fees are also charged for appliances, items containing freon and tires. These must be paid to the Town Office prior to disposal.
All loads must be tarped.
Blue bag (recycling) pick-up is bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Blue bags are available at the town office as well as a calendar with a list of accepted recycle items.
